While teaching at the Bermuda School of Music, Louise performed regularly for vice-regal functions and private engagements, headlining the Bermuda International Guitar Festival and the Kodi Kanal International Guitar Festival in India with the talented violinist David France as the 'Southwood-France Duo'. During their time together Douglas Lora of the acclaimed 'Brazil Guitar Duo' composed a piece 'From Summer to Fall' in dedication of the duo. Most recently Louise performed at the Okanagan Guitar Festival and the Zihuantanejo International Guitar Festival in Mexico.
Louise's performances consistently captivate audiences at both private and corporate events ranging from international conferences to the more intimate settings of the Fairmont, 5 Sails and The Vancouver Club.
A very important part of her work is performing at care homes and hospitals bringing classical guitar music to those who cannot attend performances in concert halls.
Louise has released two CDs. Emergence and Chrysalis which vividly illustrate her varied instrumental techniques and musical interests. With a careful selection of favourite pieces, ancient and modern, they have enchanted a diverse audience around the world.

Louise holds a Bachelor of Music honours degree from the prestigious Royal College of Music in London where she started her career studying under renowned classical guitarists Carlos Bonell and Gary Ryan. This was an intense performing period and involved collaborations with numerous other musicians as well as master classes with some of the world’s most gifted guitarists.
Louise has taught at some of the most prestigious private schools in London, the Bermuda School of Music and conducted Master Classes around the world.
Now based in Victoria, it is this repertoire of teaching techniques and experience she brings to her home studio and The VSO School of Music in Vancouver. Louise teaches a wide range of students from newcomers to professionals in all aspects of classical guitar technique and performance. She also teaches all levels of music theory using the RCM syllabus.
